LIFE
Which came first, the chicken or the Egg? That debate should be reduced to; which came first, the cell or the DNA? Every cell has the DNA which blueprinted its construction. Which came first, the chicken or the Egg? Answer: The DNA. Whereas there can be no living cell without DNA... there can be DNA without the cell. Hence; this molecule, from wherever it came, could have preceded all life as we know it.
God, some Infinite Intelligence or, a Alien who created the big bang in his fish tank- this magnificent molecule is no coincidence, nor did it develop it's miraculous ability to construct complex life forms in some primeval muddy pond. Even with the recent discovery of the possibility of self-replicating RNA (DNA's counter part) and the mapping of genes, neither begins to answer the most important questions.
1. How do they construct a life form, like a human? Knowing what part of a gene does what; a human does not make. You could give a caveman blueprints of a house but he could not build it. He may see where to put the 2x4's and electrical switches, but he would ask; what is an electrical switch. Knowing what gene controls your eye color, for example, begins not to explain how the DNA makes the eye.
2. Even if you can explain how the human was physically constructed from the DNA there is still another great question, which addresses the point that we are having this dialog; where did thought/intelligence come from? Thought goes beyond, DNA, molecules or the brain that houses the electrical thought impulses.
So what is the meaning of life? There is no meaning, It is simply a brief gift
from God to make of it what you will.
